Installation instructions: (Friendly reminder, if you are unable to read the software on the installation CD, please download the software from the following link:)
1. Car information reading software ScanTool (dot) net:
2. USB driver:
Installation steps:
1. Install the ScanTool (dot) net software on the CD or download it.
2. Connect the OBD-II cable to the car ODB-II interface.
3. Connect the OBD II cable to ELM327. At this point, the power light will turn on and the ODB TX/RX light will flash, indicating that the connection is normal.
4. Connect ELM327 to the computer using a USB cable. At this time, the computer will prompt to discover new hardware. Follow the computer prompts to install the USB driver program downloaded from the CD or network. Go to the Device Manager on your computer and click on the port. You will find the newly installed hardware USB Serial Port, and note the COM number on the right. (This COM number will be used in the next software settings)
5. Start the ScanTool (dot) net software. Open the ScanTool (dot) netv1.13 for Windows program, select the options option, select the COM number you noted in the previous step, and then confirm. Once the software installation is completed, you can diagnose your vehicle.
