Join the growing number of riders breathing new life into their Futureshock equipped Specialized bikes by removing the heavy shock. Not only will this part save you over a few hundred grams, it allows for a lower handle bar position.

This part is used to replace a Future Shock on a Specialized Diverge, Roubaix, Ruby, Sirrus or any other model that has come with a Future Shock version 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0. Machined from 7075 aluminum, this part allows for the stem to be placed at the same height or drop by as much as 22mm for a more aero/aggressive position. A top cap with an M6 bolt is needed for the top (included) and if a lower stem position is used, the part can be cut to length and a normal star nut and top cap can be used. Part weight with the top cap and bolt is 110g, 239g less than a Future Shock 2.0.

NOTE: Some bikes are fitted with a stem for a 1'' steerer tube and this part will only work with 1-1/8'' steerers. You will need to change stems if your bike has the 1'' stem as shown in the pictures.
